The Slow Approach Magazine

Founded by Poppyella Oakey, with a community of powerhouse creative minds, The Slow Approach is a small but mighty fashion and living print publication with sustainability at it’s core. Or, as I like to call it: “an ode to the environment and to those who innovatively protect it”.

What’s next for The Slow Approach?

When can we expect the next edition of The Slow Approach?

After a bit of a hibernation, we will start production of Edition Four in 2026. We take a ‘slow approach’ after all, with no reluctance to not put out the publication until it is correct to do so!

In Edition Four, expect all of the sustainable fashion and living goodness you can find in all three previous editions. No AI, all real people’s creativity and thoughts. We are also striving to go further than before, hosting photo shoots all over the UK and Ireland.

Where can I currently purchase The Slow Approach?

Whilst we have paused our online store, a few copies of Edition Three are still available if you’d like to send us an email.

In store, you can find us at:

Ginnys Cafe, The Ginger Piggery, Boyton, Wiltshire, BA12 0SS.

Fashion Department, SPARKS, 78 Broadmead, Bristol, BS1 3DS.

Gwen’s Attic, All Over The Shop, Met Quarter, Liverpool, L1 6DA.

How can I get involved?

The sustainability and ethics of The Slow Approach Magazine

The Slow Approach is committed to doing more than just talking about slow living — our ethics and sustainability practices are built into every aspect of what we do. From using a local print company in Wiltshire that relies on vegetable‑based inks, FSC‑certified paper, and carbon‑capture initiatives, to offering a take‑back scheme so physical magazines can live beyond a single use, the magazine seeks to minimise environmental harm. Our events are planned with accessibility, waste reduction, and inclusive catering in mind, while contributors and creatives are picked mindfully. Explore more about our ethos below!
